Tour cycliste de la Martinique

Cycling is one of the favorite sports in Martinique, and the Tour de la Martinique remains highly popular year after year. This international race is an opportunity to discover both local and international champions who, one day, may aspire to take part in the Grande Boucle in France, which usually takes place at the same time.

The race covers 9 stages over 10 days.

The 2025 Tour de la Martinique will be the 44th edition of the event. The defending champion is Stephan Bennet of team JC 231, who won with a 7‑second lead over Guadeloupean rider Damien Urcel. The race will kick off on Friday, July 4, in the town of Ducos. Teams from around the world have been invited, including those from the Netherlands, England, Canada, Colombia, mainland France, Guadeloupe, and Guyana.

The 9 stages in 2025 will be as follows:

  • Prologue: Friday, July 4 – Ducos ► Ducos (individual time trial, 4.4 km)
  • Stage 1: Saturday, July 5 – Rivière-Salée ► Sainte-Anne (126.7 km)
  • Stage 2: Sunday, July 6 – Sainte-Anne ► Fort-de-France (1st section, 94.1 km)
    Fort-de-France ► Fort-de-France (2nd section, 8.4 km)
  • Stage 3: Monday, July 7 – Fort-de-France ► Sainte-Luce (118.1 km)
  • Stage 4: Tuesday, July 8 – Saint-Esprit ► Macouba (111.7 km)
  • Stage 5: Wednesday, July 9 – Lorrain ► Sainte-Marie (124.7 km)
  • Stage 6: Thursday, July 10 – Sainte-Marie ► Trois-Îlets (120 km)
  • Stage 7: Friday, July 11 – Trois-Îlets ► François (122.8 km)
  • Stage 8: Saturday, July 12 – François ► Rivière-Pilote (1st section, 102.2 km)
    Time trial: Rivière-Pilote ► Rivière-Pilote via Le Marin (15.6 km)
  • Stage 9: Sunday, July 13 – Rivière-Pilote ► Le Lamentin (134.3 km)

As for the jerseys awarded to the best riders:

  • Yellow – leader of the general classification (overall time)
  • Green – leader of the points classification
  • Red polka dots – best climber
  • Orange – awarded to the leading team in the general team classification (overall time)
  • Red – best young rider (under 23)
  • Blue – leader of the intermediate sprints classification (“points chauds”)
  • Pink – leader of the combativity classification
